## Three steps to a useful bar.

1. Install the package. On Linux the deb declares its two runtime libraries; on Windows the installer does everything.
2. Start smabar. The bar appears at the bottom edge; the gear opens Settings, where you pin apps and add widgets from the store.
3. Connect your agent to the MCP server on 127.0.0.1:7627 and ask for a widget. [How to connect your agent](https://smabar.com/docs/connect-your-agent.md)

Linux x86-64: X11, or Wayland with layer-shell (GNOME Wayland is not supported yet); the packages depend on libgtk-layer-shell and libpulse. Windows 10 or 11 x86-64: the installer carries no Authenticode signature, so SmartScreen asks once; compare the SHA-256 checksum instead. Python for plugins is provisioned by smabar itself.
