x86-64. X11, or Wayland with layer-shell (GNOME Wayland is not supported yet). The packages depend on libgtk-layer-shell and libpulse, which the package manager installs for you; openSUSE installs the rpm with zypper instead of dnf.

macOS · Beta

macOS 13 or newer, Apple Silicon or Intel. Drag smabar into Applications and do not run it from the DMG. The app is not notarized, so the first start goes through System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway. Click-through, screenshots and the volume and media providers are not available yet.

first start

Three steps to a useful bar.

  1. 01

    On Windows, install smabar through the Microsoft Store. Or install the package for your system, by download or with the command next to it.

  2. 02

    Start smabar. The bar appears at the bottom edge; the gear opens Settings, where you pin apps and add plugins from the store.

  3. 03

    Connect your agent to the MCP server on 127.0.0.1:7627 and describe your first plugin. How to connect your agent
